Siwa at a slower pace. This 4-day tour gives you the time that a short trip cannot: a full day in the oasis, a full day in the Great Sand Sea, and a night under the stars, with a Bedouin guide who knows the desert.
The experience
Day one is the drive from Cairo to Siwa, with stops on the way, and an evening to rest. On day two you explore the oasis itself: the old mud-brick fortress of Shali, the ancient temple ruins, the Mountain of the Dead, the natural springs and the palm and olive groves. We end the day with sunset over the salt lakes.
On day three we leave the town for the Great Sand Sea. You drive over the dunes, visit the desert springs and set up camp for the night, with dinner, Bedouin tea and a sky full of stars. On day four you have breakfast in the desert and drive back to Cairo.

Day 1:
Day 1 | Cairo to Siwa Oasis | Pick-up from your Cairo hotel in the early morning and the long drive west to Siwa, with stops on the way. Check in and rest after the road.
