Overview
Camp for two nights in the Black and White Desert with a Bedouin family from Bahariya Oasis. You are picked up from your Cairo hotel at 7:00 am, cross the Western Desert by 4×4 and sleep under the stars in the middle of the chalk landscape.
The route links the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, El Agabat valley and the White Desert, including Mushroom Valley. Our guides are Bedouins from Bahariya. They know where the wind has carved the best rocks and where to pitch camp for the sunrise.
There is no electricity at camp. Dinner is cooked over the fire, with Bedouin tea and songs afterwards. On the last morning you wake up to a white horizon and the chalk turns orange and red as the sun comes up.
After the tour we drop you at your Cairo hotel at around 4:00 or 5:00 pm. Drop-off at Cairo Airport is not included.

Day 1:
Cairo to the Black Desert and Crystal Mountain
Day 1 | Cairo to the Black Desert and Crystal Mountain | Pick-up from your Cairo hotel at 7:00 am. We drive south to Bahariya Oasis, then continue by 4x4 to the Black Desert and the Crystal Mountain. Sunset and the first night in camp, with dinner and Bedouin tea by the fire.
Day 2 | El Agabat valley and the White Desert | After breakfast we continue by 4x4 to El Agabat valley and the old White Desert, with chalk towers in every shape, including Mushroom Valley. Second night in camp under the stars.
Day 3 | Sunrise and back to Cairo | Wake up to a white horizon as the chalk turns orange and red. Breakfast, then the drive back to Cairo. Drop-off at your hotel at around 4:00 or 5:00 pm.
